I haven't posted lately. I know...Bad Bad Slave. Really I have a good reason. Well I kinda have a reason but it probably isn't good.
My life is boring.
Yup. There it is. I have found that without Him here I am a very boring person. And now I am going to bore you with a post about nothing. We are in the 60 day countdown. I don't know when, but sometime in the next 60 days He will come home. (As long as the Air Force Gods don't change anything! Fingers Crossed.) His homecoming also means our move is coming up and fast.
My To Do list is crazy and I am running out of energy. The last two weeks have had me cleaning, scrubbing, painting, and staging the living room, dining room, and kitchen for photos. The Realtor did not like my beautiful brown walls. He said they were "Dark" and "Unwelcoming". Ok. I guess they might seem that way to some but to me they were a welcomed sight. Living in military housing for years and years made me dislike white (or any light color) walls. I have painted all the main rooms a beautiful light (Realtor approved) tan. Or off white. Well it sucks. But the rooms look bright and cheerful and larger.
Then I had to remove the rocking chair, and the little table, and my glass turtles, and my pictures, and everything from the "Daddy Wall", and anything else that says we live here. My house is now boring and empty. The Realtor called it "spacious and inviting". So tomorrow I will put up new artwork in the place of my family photos and take the pictures. I just hope it helps our house sell or rent.
So there you have it. I am Boring. He needs to come home to give me some new blog post ideas.

Day Twelve
Do you include financial submission within the
definition of your own submission and if yes, how does it manifest itself? If
no, is there a particular reason why? Are you familiar with the concepts of
financial submission? Do you have an opinion about financial submission in
general?
Financial submission was difficult for me but looking back
it was one of the first acts of submission I did. I put my career on hold so He
could join the military. Money was always tight in the early years so we agreed
to talk about every purchase over $25. Now that we are farther along in His
career money is not as tight. We are able to live comfortably and spoil our
children but I still ask Him for permission to spend more than a few bucks.
He is not the best a paying the bills. He HATES math and
balancing a checkbook is a huge headache to Him. So I do the bills. I figure
everything and send Him a copy of the budget before I actually make the
payments. He reviews it and tells me to pay them. He can make changes if He
wants to but that rarely happens. When we receive our bonus money or tax return
He decides how we are going to spend it.
I will be returning to work part time this fall as a
substitute teacher. I will not earn very
much but He has decided that I will use that money to pay for some of my new “girly”
rules like my nails. I am thankful to have the opportunity to return to work
and still be able to set my schedule to be available to Him.
EDIT:
After a long talk, Sir has decided that I will not be returning to substitute teaching this year. He believes I have enough work to do at home with the upcoming move and His current deployment. My "Girly" things will be paid for by Him just like everything else in my life and I will remain His devoted house slave. :)

Day Eleven
Do you include service as a part of your
expectations of your submission? How do you define service? What does it mean
to you? If not, what is it about the concept of service that is not for you?
Service is a large part of our relationship. I do everything
I can in order to make His life comfortable. I clean His house, tend the
gardens, care for the kids, do His shopping, and the list can go on and on. I
used to find cleaning to be dull and tiresome but the longer we are on this
journey the more I enjoy these things. I can find great joy in cleaning the
kitchen or folding the laundry. Anything I do for Him is special.
With Him deployed my daily service routine helps keep me in
touch with my submissive side. As I complete my tasks I send Him photos. He can
get 20 pictures in a day of things like a clean living room or a freshly
scrubbed bath tub. He always gives me high praise for even the smallest tasks.
I love to know He is proud of me. It is like a drug to me. The happier a task
makes Him the more I want to do.

Day Nine
Do you accept and/or expect structure, rules and
limits as a part of your submission? How do you feel about them?
I crave rules and structure.
When we first started out we put together all the possible
rules that we could. I had structure coming out of my ears. I was miserable. It
didn't work. It was too much too fast. I started to resent this life I so
wanted. So we hit a reset button.
Now the rules are basic and simple. Everything comes back to
respect and common sense. My current rules are posted on the rules page here.
He slowly adds things as it comes up but, right now, most of the new rules are going to fall under the “Girly” category.
I am a Tom Boy. I love to play in the dirt. I love to wear
T-shirts and jeans. I like Baseball caps and pony tails. I have never been
pampered. I have never worried about my hair. I don’t wear a lot of makeup. I
don’t get my nails done. Tom Boy through and through.
His latest rules are improving my appearance. I now have to
get my nails done. It is a huge adjustment but I have noticed that He really
likes them. He comments on my nails in every picture I send him. The little
comments make me hate them less and less.
I am sure that our rules will continue to evolve. I am finding that I can do so much more with my
life with the structure in place. I have more free time. Our house is cleaner.
My kids are happier. I am Happy.

Chores
The last few days have been wonderful. He has been home working on the chore list. It really isn't a long list but some of the simple little tasks keep becoming difficult and complicated. I found a wonderful new light for the boys' bathroom. Changing out the light should be a five minute job for him- It is simple compared to some of the electrical work he does for the military.
Of course it can not go the way He planned. The old light came down and instead of a electrical box the builders just had an empty hole. We are lucky the original light did not fall down. So He went to the store, bought supplies, and fixed the issue. The new light is amazing but it took about 2 hours. He was not happy.

Scrubbing My Life Away...
It appears I am in trouble. Not big trouble, but trouble none the less.
Last night as I was cooking dinner He informed me that I WILL have the kitchen/dining room clean BEFORE He gets home today. I have gotten a little lax in my cleaning standards and the Kitchen no longer meets His expectations. I really hate deep cleaning anything, but the kitchen is my own special kind of Hell. I am a really messy cook - like flour on the ceiling when I make bread messy- so I am scrubbing everything. I have four more hours to get everything finished to meet His expectations and I am starting to worry that I might not make it.
Break time is over......Back to work.

Wash, Rinse, Repeat....
Some days (like today) it feels like I do the same small tasks over and over.
Clean the Master Bath.
Make the Bed.
Wash the Dishes.
Blah...
Blah...
Blah...
It would be really nice if life was like a BDSM romance novel. Rich Master who takes his slave on a trip with fancy hotels and room service and LOTS of kinky, ass spanking sex.... But we all know that is just a fantasy and I live a much less glamorous life as a slave who has a long list of chores that He wants done.
Now back to reality....A is waking up from his nap soon and the dishwater is getting cold.

A Set Back....
He requires a well cared for yard and empty flower beds are not allowed. Everything has to have color and be perfectly kept. I love working in the yard and playing in the dirt so I have never had a problem meeting his expectations. This year is a little challenging since I am still getting over my hysterectomy. He has helped me get the garden beds ready this weekend and I am almost ready to plant everything. The only problem is that I hurt. I am crampy and sore today. We have spent most of the day siting on the couch watching TV instead of enjoying the sunshine. I am so ready to be back to normal!

So Much To Do
The last couple of days have been very busy and I am sure it is only going to get worse. He is still going to work late and coming home early to help me with the boys. I am still unable to drive so he gets to do all the drop offs and pick ups. It is so nice having him here but I know it will make next week even harder for me.
Yesterday he came home and did the yard work for me. I tried to help a little but kept getting in trouble. It is so hard for me to watch him and the boys doing work that is normally mine. Then we were off to soccer practice for A and D. They LOVE soccer and spend a lot of their free time kicking the ball around. It was nice to get to go somewhere. I have been cooped up for 10 days and I am starting to hate our house.
I am looking forward to the weekend with the family. Hopefully we will get a lot checked off the "Oh Crap - He is Deploying and We Have To Get This Shit Done" list. It is a rather long list. And yes - It is actually called that.

Getting Better
At some point I will be well enough to do all of my normal duties, but I am enjoying seeing him do my chores. He has washed dishes (and someday I will figure out where he put everything), done laundry, vacuumed, dusted, watered my plants, and cooked. All things that are on my normal ToDo list. I am starting to see why he likes having a slave. ;)
I have started doing more today and will hopefully be able to do even more tomorrow. I am just ready for our lives to be back to normal.
